The telecoms division met with network operators on Wednesday to discuss rising cases of dropped calls and problems related to service quality, while deliberating on policy measures that can be considered to improve call quality. The meeting, held amid the rollout of massive 5G networks in the country, was chaired by Telecom Minister K Rajaraman and was attended by telecom providers including Bharti Airtel, Reliance Jio and Vodafone Idea.
The discussion focused on identifying policy and operational measures that can help telecom companies improve the quality of telecom services in the country Point Sources. The minister had made it clear that the industry needed to “significantly” improve the quality of telecommunications services, as the government had also played its part by initiating sweeping reforms in the sector.
