The iPhone 14 series is expected to be unveiled at Apple’s upcoming September 7 special launch event. The iPhone mini may be replaced by a new iPhone 14 model with a 6.7-inch display, according to reports. This model has been dubbed the iPhone 14 Max in previous reports. A Twitter user, however, has allegedly leaked images of Apple’s Clear Case with MagSafe. The packaging for this case suggests that we may get the iPhone 14 Plus rather than the previously rumored iPhone 14 Max.
The images show the alleged listing and packaging of the Apple Clear Case with iPhone 14 Plus branding rather than the rumored iPhone 14 Max moniker. This model is expected to be popular among buyers who want a large screen but are unwilling to pay the rumored $1,100+ (roughly Rs. 88,000) asking price for the iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro Max.
9to5Mac later confirmed these claims in a report citing industry sources. It appears that Apple has decided to call the new 6.7-inch iPhone model the iPhone 14 Plus. Furthermore, it is believed that the company notified iPhone case manufacturers in July to refrain from using the iPhone 14 Max branding.
According to the report, the iPhone 13 case will most likely fit the standard iPhone 14 handset. Furthermore, Apple is said to be interested in promoting its new 35W adapter as the iPhone 14 Pro’s standard charger.
Apple has scheduled a special launch event for September 7th, where the iPhone 14 lineup is expected to be unveiled. Several rumours have circulated about these smartphones, including a recent report claiming that the iPhone 14’s price could begin at $749. (roughly 60,000). Meanwhile, the iPhone 14 Max/iPhone 14 Plus may start at $849. (roughly Rs. 68,000).
