Blockchain company mintBlue is partnering with logistics software platform Dockflow aimed at providing a data service to track emissions and improve sustainability for shippers and ocean carriers.
The platform will provide companies with the capability to monitor and report data on emissions, along with blockchain verification to ensure compliance with sustainability standards set by the European Union.
“This partnership with mintBlue accelerates our vision of making maritime logistics more efficient and environmentally responsible,” said Dockflow cofounder Pauline Van Ostaeyen. “Together, we set new standards for sustainability and transparency in the supply chain.”
This is in response to the EU’s Corporate Social Responsibility Directive, which mandates emissions reporting starting in 2026 for large companies with over 250 employees, or with either €40 million ($43 million) in turnover or a €20 million balance sheet.
