The computer software company Oracle announced February 13 that it had launched new logistics tools called Oracle Fusion Cloud Supply Chain & Manufacturing (SCM). The company said that these updates to Oracle Transportation Management and Oracle Global Trade Management will help customers increase visibility, reduce costs and automate regulatory compliances.
The new features will allow users to combine transportation and trade data, model different scenarios to compare scheduling options, automate support for country-specific trade programs and help managers create configurable workbenches that provide a single view of operations.
“The last few years tested the resiliency of global logistics operations and many organizations have struggled to adapt and insulate their business from ongoing disruptions,” said Srini Rajagopal, the vice president of logistics product strategy for Oracle. “With Oracle Cloud SCM, organizations can seamlessly manage transportation, global trade, and distribution processes. This helps them improve the speed and accuracy of operations, optimize service levels, address compliance, and mitigate the impact of supply chain disruptions.”
