The Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family plan has been officially announced, and it is already available in Colombia and the Republic of Ireland.
A logo for the plan, which was allegedly scraped from Xbox’s backend system, surfaced online a few days ago.
Xbox has now made an official announcement about the new plan, including specifics about what it includes and pricing.
Xbox Game Pass Friends and Family will give up to five people access to all of the Game Pass Ultimate benefits, including cloud streaming, EA Play membership, and Game Pass library discounts. In Ireland, the plan costs €21.99 per month, while in Colombia, it costs 49,900 pesos. Other regions’ pricing has yet to be announced.
Anyone who switches from another plan to Game Pass Friends and Family will have any time remaining automatically converted. One month of Game Pass Ultimate on PC, for example, will be converted into 18 days of Game Pass Friends and Family.
Microsoft has also disclosed the rules and restrictions for joining the group plan. People can only be added to your Friends and Family plan if they live in the same country/region as you, and they can only be a member of one group at a time. For more information on joining, see the Game Pass Friends and Family FAQ.
Microsoft adds in the FAQ that other countries may be added in the “next months,” as this is currently only a pilot in Colombia and Ireland.
