DuxVitae is an online platform for promoting education and providing customized career guidance and coaching to high school and college students.
SANTA CLARITA, CA, August 23, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Ananya Bhattacharya, PhD, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
Driven to address the abundant shortfalls that exist in available information and support for students and professionals navigating higher education and different career paths, Dr. Bhattacharya has distinguished herself as the founder of DuxVitae, an online platform for promoting education and providing customized career guidance and coaching to high school and college students. Drawing inspiration from her personal experiences when transitioning from India to the United States while pursuing her PhD and seeking a professional role, she initially launched free webinars during the COVID-19 pandemic in order to help those struggling with job loss. However, her mission soon evolved to encompass educational courses and other services.
Hailing from over 15 years of experience in both education and the private sector, during which time she accrued a wealth of expertise in research and development, project management, market opportunity assessment and intellectual property, Dr. Bhattacharya initially studied civil engineering at Visvesvaraya Technological University, from which she earned a Bachelor of Technology in 2002. Following her immigration to the U.S., she received her doctorate in materials science and engineering at the Georgia Institute of Technology (GaTech) in 2008.
Having already served as a graduate research assistant at GaTech, Dr. Bhattacharya subsequently worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Metallic Materials Group in the University of North Texas, which was funded by U.S. Air Force Research Laboratory. After completing her post-doctorate, she worked as a senior R&D scientist at Baker Hughes from 2011 to 2014. Over the following years, she would go on to hold positions of high leadership at a number of private-sector companies, educational institutions and research organizations, including the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE), PinnacleART, Rice University, Velentium and Brady Healthcare, where she departed from her career in the corporate realm as Head of the Project Management Office in 2024 to focus on DuxVitae and her educational initiatives.
Eminently qualified in her field, Dr. Bhattacharya holds extensive certifications from a variety of organizations, including in leadership training via Baker Hughes, in leadership at NACE, and several industry programs and processes. Her materials science research has also been published in several peer-reviewed publications, such as the Journal of Failure Analysis and Prevention, Metallurgical and Materials Transactions A, Surface and Coatings Technology and Acta Materialia, as well as at a number of industry conferences.
In a career suffused with highlights, Dr. Bhattacharya is particularly proud to have transitioned from civil engineering to materials science and engineering, culminating with her PhD at GaTech. On a professional level, she is most gratified to have founded her own company, which has allowed her to pursue her passion for educating others, helping clients find the right career path, and generally giving back to the community. Looking toward the future, Dr. Bhattacharya is dedicating more time to expanding her current course offerings, with an eye toward including United States Medical Licensing Examination (USMLE) and Pre-med coursework and additional programs that cater to a diverse student base. Likewise, she hopes to provide free SAT coaching sessions to high school students from underserved communities, reflecting a deep-seated goal of making educational opportunities more accessible to everyone, regardless of their financial background. She also plans to provide free educational and career counselling for veterans through DuxVitae.
