Andrea Katz is a visionary brand strategist with years of expertise in driving transformative initiatives for Fortune 500 companies across many industries and sectors.
NEW YORK, NY, March 06, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Andrea Katz has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.
A visionary brand strategist with years of expertise in driving transformative initiatives for Fortune 500 companies across many industries and sectors, Katz has spent her career branding some of the most iconic companies, transforming how they engage their customers and drive impact across communication channels. She contributes a winning combination of strategy, creativity and business acumen at a very human scale.
Katz brings two decades of expertise to Ideon Agency, where she serves as GM/Chief Brand Officer. “Ideon” was inspired by the ancient Greek word for ideas. She runs all aspects of brand strategy, including creative and activation and has transformed world-class brands such as Estee Lauder, United HealthCare and Hitachi.
“There has never been a more transformative time for brands. As we strategize, design and develop a more connected world for our clients, we need to be visionary leaders with new ideas that reflect how we’re growing as a country and world,” comments Katz.
Previously, Katz was head of Marketing for KPMG USA, where she defined and deepened the consultancy’s influence on a global scale. For most of her tenure at Thomson, she served in a dual role as a Chief Marketing Officer and a business head, reinforcing business growth and branding engagement as inextricably linked. Prior to that, she brought global advertising, marketing, and digital transformation and consulting skills to Omnicom agencies including Interbrand and BBDO.
Further experience includes building NYC’s urban development strategies under Mayors David N. Dinkins, Edward I. Koch, and Robert R. Kiley at the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.
While her career is filled with highlights, Katz credits her success to hard work, dedication and an optimistic, peoplecentric outlook, instilled as a child, even while she was raised and educated under apartheid. She takes the most pride in graduating at the top of her class at Columbia University and in maintaining a strong connection to South Africa as trustee of National Children’s Theatre of South Africa.
Before starting her professional journey, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in government, economics and politics from the University of the Witwatersrand, Johannesburg South Africa. Subsequently, Ms. Katz received a Master of Science in urban planning from Columbia University’s Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
“We have worked closely with Andrea in her quest to rejuvenate and rebuild National Children’s Theatre of South Africa’s brand locally and internationally. And congratulate her in achieving this remarkable and well deserved acknowledgement of being featured in Marquis Who’s Who for her work in branding,” adds Samantha Presbury, Managing Director, Ogilvy PR, South Africa.
