Before embarking on this groundbreaking venture, Mr. Syal honed his skills in finance and strategy at prestigious firms, including Morgan Stanley, Lexington Partners and S&P Global. His educational background from the University of Notre Dame and active involvement with its Young Alumni Board have further cemented his status as a forward-thinking entrepreneur dedicated to creating an ethical and rewarding ecosystem for brands, universities, collectives and athletes.

Mr. Syal’s career trajectory is marked by significant milestones that showcase his expertise in connecting athlete influencers with brand marketers for content creation, social promotion and endorsements. Since co-founding MOGL in 2019, he has been instrumental in developing a platform that not only enables brands to build awareness for their offerings and connects athletes to lucrative opportunities but also provides software solutions now trusted by some of the country’s largest athletic departments to manage NIL programs effectively. Prior to MOGL, Mr. Syal served as a senior strategy associate at IHS Markit (now S&P Global) from 2020 to 2021 and as an analyst at Lexington Partners from 2019 to 2020. His foundational experience was built at Morgan Stanley, where he worked as an analyst from 2017 to 2019 after completing the firm’s summer analyst program in 2016. Earlier roles include positions at Fidelity Investments, The Depository Trust and Clearing Corporation and Convergex, where he gained valuable insights into the broader financial services industry.

The foundation of Mr. Syal’s professional success can be traced back to his academic achievements. He graduated with a Bachelor of Business Administration in management consulting and sociology from the University of Notre Dame in 2017 where he was awarded the Student Service Award at graduation. He completed his high school education through the Seton Scholars Program at Seton Hall Preparatory School in New Jersey. The support from his family and the Notre Dame network played an integral role in his ability to navigate the corporate world successfully and ultimately launch MOGL with a clear mission to democratize access to athletes for marketing campaigns.

Outside of his professional endeavors, Mr. Syal leads a fulfilling personal life characterized by diverse interests and aspirations. Born and raised in Canada with dual citizenship in both Canada and the United States, he is proud of his mixed heritage and being the first in his family to attend college in America. In his leisure time, Mr. Syal enjoys cooking, exploring new cuisines, cheering on Notre Dame football teams, and engaging with nature through hiking and other outdoor activities.
