During the early stages of his career, he honed his crop science and management expertise with several universities, including Pennsylvania State University, the University of Florida, Oklahoma State University, and Tribhuvan University. Along with other industry scholars, Dr. Poudel has contributed to several articles in professional journals like the Journal of Agronomy and Crop Science or Nematology.

An expert in his field, Dr. Poudel holds a Bachelor of Science in agronomy from Tribhuvan University and a Master of Science in agronomy from H.N.B. Garhwal University. Subsequently, he expanded his professional knowledge by earning a Master of Science in horticulture from Oklahoma State University and a PhD in agronomy with a minor in education from the University of Florida. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Poudel aligns himself with the Crop Science Society of America and the American Society for Horticultural Sciences.
