Born in 1956 to the late Dr. Edward J. Boling and Carolyn Pierce Boling, Mr. Boling excelled in his academic pursuits. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, earning a Bachelor of Arts in logistics from its Haslam College of Business in 1980. Further pursuing his education, he obtained a Master of Business Administration in 1990, also from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville.
After gaining invaluable experience as vice president of new business for Philips, Mr. Boling ventured into the world of entrepreneurship at the age of 40, founding SecureAlert Inc., and PROCON Inc. over the span of several years in the late 1990s and early 2000s. In 2003, he founded Spireon, Inc., a telematics company providing visibility and insight from connected vehicles, and he ran the company for a decade before selling it in 2013. He served as chief executive officer of Connected Holdings before founding Procon Analytics, LLC, in 2017.
Among Mr. Boling’s numerous career achievements, he takes pride in his ability to build new businesses from the ground up. Relying on his natural business acumen and practiced market and negotiation skills, he has taken every venture he undertook to profitability and then sold them to interested parties. When he is not working, Mr. Boling enjoys being with his six grandchildren, traveling, and spending time outdoors, especially skiing in the winter and water sports in the summer.
