Dr. Seybold is a retired Army Special Forces officer and is currently a senior, self-employed Army sustainment/logistics consultant, a position he has held since 2011. From 1963 to 1993, he served in the military, during which time he was deployed twice to Vietnam, among other surrounding areas, during the Vietnam War. Over the course of his 30-year active military career, Dr. Seybold graduated through the ranks to hold the esteemed position of lieutenant colonel of Special Forces in the U.S. Army, a position in which he earned the Legion of Merit.
Over the course of his military career, Dr. Seybold earned additional awards and decorations, including the Soldier’s Medal, multiple awards of the Bronze Star Medal with “V” for valor, and two Purple Heart medals, among numerous other service and merit medal recognitions. Following his retirement, he worked in operational contract support at DynCorp, as a site manager in various locales, and at Lockheed Martin in the information technology and global services department as a senior LOGCAP military operations analyst and manager, amongst other noteworthy logistics positions at esteemed corporations and organizations. Dr. Seybold then went into contracting and started his own company, CCS Consultants, a service-disabled, veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) registered with the Small Business Association and is active in the U.S. Federal Government’s System for Awards Management (SAM).
Along with being a decorated military veteran, Dr. Seybold holds several degrees and certifications. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in biology from the Virginia Miliary Institute and a Master of Arts in economics from University of Oklahoma. In addition, he graduated with a Master of Education and doctorate in educational administration and educational media from the University of Utah, with emphasis in educational leadership and administration. Moreover, Dr. Seybold is a graduate of The United States Army War College, where he achieved military education level 1, and as a graduate of the University of Utah with a terminal degree was listed as a United States Army officer with the highest civilian education level of 1 and the highest military education level of 1, which is the highest education levels possible for Army officers.
Along with his dissertation and subsequent multiple field- and industry-specific publications, Dr. Seybold authored a self-published memoir in 2013 to share his military tour in Korea on the Demilitarized Zone (DMZ) with the First Cavalry Division and his two tours with the Army Special Forces, in the 5th Special Forces Group; first as lieutenant in Korea and then as captain, in Vietnam during the war. As a result of his involvement with the military, he is member of the Military Officers of America Association, the Special Forces Association, the Special Operations Association, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars, among others. In all he has accomplished in his active military and post-active miliary career, Dr. Seybold credits his success to the individuals he has known and worked/interacted with while in the military and in civilian life across the globe.
