Backed by years of government and public policy expertise, Ms. DeBerry founded Tenagrity Solutions, which offers strategy, communications, operations, and scalability consulting services. As chief executive officer, she collaborates with nonprofit and for-profit clients in the healthcare and defense industries. Previously, Ms. DeBerry worked as the vice president of the Paragon Health Institute, which was founded to research real, tangible solutions and changes in health policies.

During the early stages of her career, Ms. DeBerry was voted unanimously into the role of chief external affairs officer for Remote Area Medical to develop its new department and carry on the founder’s government affairs efforts. Likewise, she served as a senior legislative assistant in the U.S. House of Representatives, as a ghostwriter for the Beasley Allen Law Firm, and as a research assistant at Faulkner University. Over the years, Ms. DeBerry cemented her professional knowledge as a senior analyst for the Federal Election Commission and through various roles with U.S. Senator Lamar Alexander’s Re-election Campaign, U.S. Congressman Tom Price’s Re-election Campaign, and Governor Sonny Perdue’s Re-election Campaign. She was also the founder of Checkmate Consulting.

An expert in her field, Ms. DeBerry holds a Bachelor of Science in U.S. government from Freed-Hardeman University and completed JD coursework through Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law. Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, she is affiliated with the BioMaP Consortium of the Biomedical Advanced Research and Development Authority, the Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity, and Phi Beta Chi. In conjunction with her work, she has contributed to her community as a volunteer with the Mount Vernon Ladies’ Association, as a temporary registrar for the City of Alexandria, and as the organizer of the FHU Tornado Adoption Project. Ms. DeBerry also volunteered with presidential and senatorial campaigns throughout her career.

Due to her vast breadth of knowledge, Ms. DeBerry authored the published book, The Renewal of Independence: The Nation’s Renewed Dependence on Independence. (She also wrote, illustrated, and self-published a children’s book, The Reflect: The Beginning.) Additionally, she has been honored for her educational and professional excellence, earning the Dean Fellowship through Faulkner University’s Jones School of Law, the Faith & Law Full-Tuition Scholarship, and the FEC Greatest Overall Contribution to the Branch Award. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in her work as a senior congressional staff member who collaborated with the head of Medicare and his team to address Medicare reimbursement challenges faced by hospitals for more than 20 years. The cornerstone of her success lies in her faith, family, and friends and her unwavering desire to help others. Looking ahead, Ms. DeBerry intends to leverage her government expertise to contribute to the Office of Personnel and Management and/or the Departments of Defense and Health and Human Services.
