Over the next decade, she took on various roles, including regional pricing coordinator and global supply chain development manager. With Nike’s support, she immigrated to the United States and started as a supply chain development manager for the Mexico region. Her expertise and dedication propelled her through the ranks at Nike, where she served as a supply chain innovation manager for emerging markets, global process manager of global fulfillment, North American inventory control director, and North American inventory management operations.
Before obtaining her current role, Ms. Tamez was the senior regional manager for the Americas inventory management, product support, and logistics division at Caterpillar Inc. A seasoned leader with years of supply chain management expertise, she excels as the vice president of inventory control and loss prevention for Medline Industries, LP, through which she oversees the team that safeguards inventory accuracy.
She earned a Master of Management in strategic management and executive leadership through Pennsylvania State University’s Smeal College of Business and several certifications through Medline Industries and LinkedIn.
In conjunction with her work, Ms. Tamez founded the Nike Women’s Network at North American Distribution Centers. Her professional achievements earned her a Supplier of the Year Award at Jabil and a Supply Chain Innovation Award at Nike. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in leading a large team at Caterpillar. Though hard work and dedication have brought her far in her career, she credits her success to her perseverance, humility, and ability to acknowledge her mistakes.
