Driven by a deep empathy for children, the underprivileged, and their families, Christine LePosa, MA, LPCC-S, has made it her mission to avail herself on behalf of those in need. In her role as the lead acute licensed social worker/counselor at the Belmont Pines Hospital in Youngstown, Ohio, she leverages an abundance of experience in handling complex forms of trauma and fruitfully collaborating with colleagues to develop multidisciplinary treatment plans that best address the needs of her patients. Having joined the staff at Belmont Pines in 2020, Ms. LePosa previously worked in clinical roles at Valley Counseling Services and South Bay Community Services, beginning in 2014.

To remain aware of developments in her field, Ms. LePosa maintains affiliation with various professional organizations that provide education and training for practitioners in the field.

Ms. LePosa has long sought to enshrine the values of purpose, humility and balance in her work, believing that all people have a unique path, mistakes are an integral aspect of growth, and the importance of living in the moment. With these tenets as her guiding light, Ms. LePosa is most proud to have shepherded others along their path toward recovery from trauma. In accounting for her success, she credits the strength she has drawn from her faith, which has sustained her throughout the challenges of working in a behavioral health setting. Among her career accomplishments, Ms. LePosa is proud to have earned supervisory designation as a licensed professional clinical counselor, which has allowed her to expand her influence in the field by investing in the next generation of mental health providers. Additionally certified in EMDR therapy, she hopes to provide her services to the survivors of such crisis events as community violence and natural disasters throughout the United States and the world beyond.

Ms. LePosa studied applied health science at Indiana University, earning a Bachelor of Science, summa cum laude, in 2008. Following this accomplishment, she went on to attend Lesley University, from which she graduated with a Master of Arts in counseling psychology in 2014.
