    BARNSTABLE, MA, May 09, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Christine M. Beer, PhD, MEd, has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Leveraging more than two decades of excellence in global public health systems and vaccine supply chains, Dr. Beer has focused her efforts on health promotion and disease prevention. In her current role as founder of Christine Beer Consulting, Dr. Beer collaborates on the designs of systems to support the delivery of public health programs, including vaccine inventory management for immunization programs and pandemic response, and family health programs.

Prior to her current role, Dr. Beer conducted field research on adolescent development and social determinants of health in Myanmar, and collaborated on research on adolescent development and critical media literacy in Canada, resulting in new curriculum for the public education system. In addition, Dr. Beer served on financial systems projects for Boston College, as a program director for The Conference Board Health Leadership Council, and as a researcher and instructor for the Faculty of Education at the University of Victoria.

Dr. Beer’s community work has focused on arts and health. She has enjoyed serving as a docent for the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston, on the board the Vancouver Island School of Art, and as a journal reviewer for Global Health Promotion, Health Promotion International, and Health Literacy Research and Practice. Among her professional accomplishments, she received a Myer Horowitz Award for Youth and Society in 2013.

To prepare for her career, Dr. Beer earned a Bachelor of Arts in English from Boston College and a Master of Education from the Boston College Lynch School of Education and Human Development. Dr. Beer earned her Doctorate at University of Victoria in British Columbia, Canada. Within the coming years, Dr. Beer intends to utilize her public health experience to help reduce health disparities and improve the connections between health and civic participation in her community.
