SAN FRANCISCO, California, January 23, 2023 /24-7press release/ — Diane Filippi was included in the Marquis Who’s Who. As in all biographical volumes of the Marquis Who’s Who, the individuals profiled are selected using current reference values. Factors such as position, notable achievements, visibility and notoriety in a field are considered during the selection process.

Based on many years of professional experience, Ms. Filippi was the managing partner of SMWM for 35 years. Throughout the company, she oversaw all face-to-face interactions on behalf of the company and negotiated all contracts with consultants. She has also gained valuable expertise in this area over the years as Director of SPUR Urban Center, where she worked with Managing Director Jim Chappell and a group of talented professionals to bring the building to life. She now sits on the board of directors of the SPUR Urban Center as well as on the board of directors of Mother Jones; she is a benefactor to both.

Outside of work, Ms. Filippi contributes to her community as a benefactor of SPUR and as a board member of Mother Jones. She has volunteered and served on the board of directors of the Ed Fund and the Urban Land Institute San Francisco Chapter and served as its Chair. Ms. Filippi is an expert in her field and holds Bachelor of Arts degrees in Archeology from the University of the Pacific and the University of California Berkeley.

Although her career has been full of highlights, Ms. Filippi is most proud of helping build the main library in San Francisco, serving as Chair of the Board of Directors of Friends of the Library, and being honored by the San Francisco Business Times Awards. While hard work and dedication have gotten her far, she credits her success to her gift for speaking. In the next five years, Ms. Filippi wants to write a book on aphasia and join a synagogue where she can volunteer with children.
