SAN ANTONIO, TX July 16, 2023 /24-7press release/ – Ownership of Texas Elite Auto & Diesel has a message for diesel car and truck owners in San Antonio: Don’t neglect your cars during South Texas’ seemingly never-ending heatwave.
The San Antonio-based company Repair of diesel engines Experts have reported a sharp rise in car and truck problems in recent weeks, almost entirely due to the record-breaking heatwave that has ravaged the southern city since early June.
“While it’s true that diesel engines handle extreme heat better than gasoline-powered engines, this isn’t a typical heatwave we’ve been experiencing in south Texas for the past few weeks,” said Addam Bradshaw, owner of Texas Elite Auto & Diesel in San Antonio. “We urge all diesel engine owners to be extra vigilant about their vehicles and to be aware of all early warning signs.”
“You know your car better than anyone. So if you see anything out of the ordinary, come in and have us check it out before proceeding.”
Several weeks of record-breaking heat in south Texas have resulted in dozens of deaths and hundreds of health emergencies, and put a significant strain on the already overburdened power grid.
And there doesn’t seem to be an end in sight, at least in the short term, because according to the forecasts, temperatures will remain at or above the 100 degree mark.
Bradshaw offers several tips for keeping your diesel engine as cool as possible during the relentless heat of a Texas summer, especially during particularly harsh summers like the region has been experiencing so far in 2023.
This includes making sure you have the right type of coolant in the engine, reducing friction with regular maintenance on your vehicle, and making sure your car has adequate time to warm up and cool down on particularly hot temperature days.
“We can help protect your car during the hot summer months, but there are also some things car owners can do themselves to keep their vehicles running as efficiently as possible when outside temperatures reach 100 degrees or more,” says Bradshaw. “The most important thing is that you take extra care of your car or truck during these heat waves and don’t just assume nothing will go wrong.”
“When there are particularly hot temperatures over a long period of time, things happen. Stay on top of things and take care of any issues before a small and relatively inexpensive problem turns into a much bigger one.”
