Prior to establishing his consulting company, Dr. Edison served in the United States Army for 30 years, holding the rank of colonel at the time of his retirement from the military. His initial service was as an Infantry Lieutenant, and after accepting his calling into the Gospel ministry he transitioned to the United States Army Chaplain Corps as a Chaplain. During his tenure, he nurtured relationships and witnessed people grow and thrive, contributing positively to their personal and professional development. His career in the Army is marked by his dedication to leadership and service, which he continues to exemplify in his consulting work.

Forging the path for Dr. Edison’s approach to self-care, leadership and consultation with his extensive educational background, which began with a Bachelor of Business Administration in finance from Prairie View A&M University. He then earned a Master of Divinity from Phillips Theological Seminary and a Master of Strategic Studies in national security policy and strategy and strategic leadership from the United States Army War College. Subsequently, he earned a Doctor of Ministry with a concentration in clinical pastoral education from the Oblate School of Theology. Additionally, he is licensed and ordained by the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc.

Throughout his career, Dr. Edison has been an active member of several industry-related organizations. He is a life member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity Inc., the Association of the United States Army, the Army War College Foundation Inc., the Military Officers Association of America, the Southwest Association of Buffalo Soldiers Inc., and the Army Historical Foundation. He also served as a chaplain on the national board of the ROCKS Inc. and is involved with the National Baptist Convention, USA Inc., a charter member of the 1814 Society of the Army Historical Foundation, and a member of Phi Beta Lambda.

Dr. Edison’s professional endeavors have not gone unrecognized. He has received the U.S. Army Legion of Merit Award (3rd Oak Leaf Cluster) for Excellence for 30 Years of Service, the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara, the Bronze Order of Mercury, the Ancient Order of Martin of Tours, Strathmore’s Who’s Who Worldwide 2023 Edition and the George C. Marshall Award. He attributes his success to his strong faith and relationship with God, as well as his family’s unwavering support and encouragement.

In addition to his professional achievements, Dr. Edison has made significant contributions to civic organizations. He serves on the board of trustees at Phillips Theological Seminary and is a life member of the Prairie View A&M University National Alumni Association. Additionally, he holds the position of Chaplain for the Prairie View A&M University ROTC Alumni Chapter.
