Ms. Osborn creates hands-on, on-site learning opportunities for students across various degrees and education levels within the health care sector, and she collaborates with other organizations to explore potential opportunities for students, thereby fostering a bridge between education and practical experience.
Prior to her current position, Ms. Osborn served as a social services coordinator at Carle Health between 2016 and 2024. During her tenure there, she was instrumental in creating an internship program aimed at improving patient care quality and data collection. Specifically, this initiative focused on addressing patient readmission rates within 30 days of discharge by implementing outcome measures to track patient progress from admission to discharge based on diagnosis.
Before contributing to Carle Health, Ms. Osborn was the director of mental health residential and community support services at Bridgeway from 2014 to 2016. Her leadership was pivotal in enhancing patient outcomes and improving overall care quality. Leading up to her time there, Ms. Osborn worked as a clinical coordinator casework at the Children’s Home Association of Illinois from 2012 to 2014, where she honed her skills in managing complex cases and supporting mental health initiatives, and worked as a mental health therapist at The Counseling Research and Training Clinic from 2011 to 2012.
Ms. Osborn’s journey in leadership started in 1995 when she took on the role of chief executive officer of Real Kleen Inc., a position she held until 2009. There, she developed her expertise in business management and strategic planning before beginning her career in the health care sector by working as a prevention specialist at Mental Health America of Illinois Valley until 2011. Coupled with her accrued experience, Ms. Osborn received several degrees, including a Master of Arts in clinical mental health from Bradley University in 2012; a Master of Business Administration from Illinois State University in 2002; and a Bachelor of Arts in biology from Monmouth College in 2000. Along with her degrees, she holds certifications as a licensed clinical professional counselor from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation and is certified in perinatal mental health.
For her contributions to the field, Ms. Osborn has been recognized with the Caterpillar Fellowship Award by Caterpillar Inc. in 2012. In reflecting on her career success, she attributes her success to the unwavering support of her family and mentors who have played significant roles throughout her life. Specifically, her parents encouraged her pursuit of education, while teachers and coaches provided invaluable guidance. This foundation has been instrumental in her professional achievements and personal growth.
In addition to her professional endeavors, Ms. Osborn serves as an elder at Mackinaw Christian Church; she is also a devoted mother to four children and enjoys spending time outdoors with her family and finds solace in nature. Looking ahead, she aims to grow her business with a vision inspired by a higher purpose, focusing on supporting health care and higher education sectors through initiatives that empower individuals and organizations. Moreover, Ms. Osborn is committed to preparing for the impending demographic shift as the largest cohort in United States history enters the health care system.
