Geeta Kataria Chawla, PhD, honored for over 20 years of dedicated service in her profession

Ms. Chawla, founder of Yourlifeskills.net, has dedicated over two decades to her profession, with the last three years focused on teaching essential life skills to children aged eight to 18 as defined by UNICEF. Since 2021, she has been at the helm of Yourlifeskills.net, where she has made significant strides in educating young minds. She understands the importance of peer support for children in distress and incorporates breathing exercises and other evidence-based methods, such as visualization practices, to support individuals effectively.

Ms. Chawla’s career is marked by her innovative contributions to the medical field through the creation of various digital products. These products have not only educated but also saved lives. Notably, she developed a women’s health product focusing on oncology and sexually transmitted diseases, alongside other educational tools. Her dedication to improving health care through technology has earned her recognition and respect within the industry.

Ms. Chawla’s academic journey began with a Bachelor of Arts in business from Baruch College in 1995. She then pursued a Master of Business Administration from the University of California, Berkeley, followed by a Master of Public Health from the same institution. Currently, she is pursuing a Doctorate in Education at Purdue University. Beyond her formal education, she attributes her success to her resilience, faith and commitment to humanity, as well as the guidance of exceptional mentors, such as Mark Spurgel from Baruch College.

Ms. Chawla’s professional efforts have not gone unnoticed as she received the Trailblazer Award from Kaiser Permanente for her outstanding contributions in 2023. In addition to her professional achievements, she is also actively involved in civic-minded organizations. She volunteers with Kids Against Hunger and several other charitable organizations.

In an effort to stay abreast of new advancements in her industry, she is an active member of the International Society of Technology and Education. Outside of her professional life, she enjoys going to the theater and visiting museums in her local area and elsewhere.
