Before his role at 18Loop, Mr. Tarnacki worked as a program coordinator for AmeriCorps Volunteers in Service to America in 2016, focusing on projects aimed at poverty alleviation through community empowerment and education. His AmeriCorps experience sparked a passion for public service. Combining his skills with nonprofit work, he was led to found 18Loop and focus on cancer-related causes. His corporate experience also includes a tenure as a senior account executive at Verizon Business, where he managed sales and customer relations in the public sector.
Mr. Tarnacki holds a Bachelor of Arts in communication from Seton Hall University. He has also completed coursework in Artificial Intelligence: Implications for Business Strategy at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and earned a certificate in blockchain from the Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Business Administration at Cornell University’s Samuel Curtis Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Master of Science in health care leadership at Weill Cornell Graduate School of Medical Sciences.
Outside of his professional commitments, Mr. Tarnacki is actively involved in civic organizations, volunteering with University Community Social Services Inc. and providing his expertise as an extended reality spatial computing consultant to a number of pediatric hospitals. He has been recognized for his innovative contributions, receiving the Innovate New Jersey Award from Innovations of the World in 2023 and an honorable mention for a World Changing Idea from Fast Company in 2021.
