Dr. Yemer is a senior strategies consultant, certified in advising, coaching, and mentoring; he holds both a Master of Public Administration and a Master of Business Administration from the City University of Seattle, along with a doctorate in Doctor of Philosophy major in Applied Management and Decision Sciences (AMDS) and concentration in leadership and organizational change from Walden University. Moreover, he is a distinguished toastmaster by Toastmasters International. Throughout his childhood, Dr. Yemer consistently demonstrated academic prowess, accelerated through school, and was driven by his successes and aspirations, which included a desire to pursue a doctorate in the United States.

Driven by a passion to use his knowledge to help others, Dr. Yemer’s childhood inspiration set the trajectory for his academic and professional journey. At the start of his career, he served as a paralegal and provided social services for communities. Afterward, he enjoyed a concurrent career in consulting, working at his previous firm, Proficiency International Multi Services, PIMS. He helped hundreds of individuals, community members, and agencies during this time. In addition, he helped develop workforce development strategies to address the growing employment needs of refugees and immigrants in the neighborhood, and he appeared in Whit Center Community Development Investment Plan/CDC Magazine in September 2001. He then worked and developed MDSGC from 2000 to 2023, and a career in academia, which was sparked by a desire to contribute to government and nonprofit organizations.

Despite numerous suggestions and support from communities urging him to run for city council, Dr. Yemer remained steadfast in his pursuit of obtaining a doctorate and dedicating himself to imparting knowledge and shaping students’ minds in strategic management and leadership.

In reflecting on his career overall, Dr. Yemer notes his significant strides when serving as the associate campus dean and lead of the School of Business at Strayer University. Most notably, he crafted curriculum and course content as a distinguished subject matter expert and, with skillful execution, secured approval from the institution’s dean and management team to facilitate its seamless integration into the university’s curriculum. Not only did he continue to serve as a professor for the courses he created, but Dr. Yemer took on the responsibility of reviewing and updating their content every two years to ensure their ongoing relevance and effectiveness.

During his tenure at Strayer University, Dr. Yemer’s outstanding performance earned him recognition as a top performer. In 2019, his contributions were further highlighted when he was nominated for the Lifetime Nomination Award. This recognition underscores his commitment to excellence and his lasting impact on the educational realm. Coupled with his contributions at Strayer University, he also taught at Howard University as an associate professor for three years; then, the University of Maryland Global Campus recognized Dr. Yemer for his expertise. He was invited to teach military students, and his classes gained immense popularity because of his exceptional teaching; there, within a few years, he obtained his professor rank.

Despite these and other achievements in various academic endeavors, Dr. Yemer still regards his role in developing faculty as his most impactful contribution to the field. By consistently providing faculty development training, he remained dedicated to enhancing the skills and capabilities of educators within the academic community. Having retired from teaching in 2023, Dr. Yemer recently redirected his wealth of experience and knowledge toward new ventures that leverage his previous consulting expertise.

Today, Dr. Yemer is at the helm of Scientific Strategy Global Consulting (SSGC), his own strategic leadership and management consulting company certified as both a minority-owned small business and a disadvantaged business enterprise. Soon, his goal is to hire up to 20 individuals who can effectively manage and nurture the business. This strategic move will not only generate a healthy income for the company and its team but will also effectively allow the company to assist clients in their growth. Ultimately, in delegating responsibilities to other trusted and skilled individuals, Dr. Yemer will create more time for himself to travel extensively and engage in and motivate local, national, and international communities, speaking to inspire and empower a broader audience and share his life experiences; he is known for helping others and expert being a strategic thinker.

Dr. Yemer’s continued dedication to education—in all forms and at all levels—is rooted in a commitment beyond professional obligation, built on his genuine love and enthusiasm for the art and impact of teaching. He draws significant empowerment from his achievements, with a chief source being the sense of accomplishment he continues to derive from his students’ successes. Additionally, Dr. Yemer finds fulfillment in traveling to and contributing to the well-being of local and international communities, including his homeland, where he has imparted knowledge to the youth by teaching research at universities.

As a lifelong educator, Dr. Yemer founded two nonprofit organizations dedicated to supporting students and providing social services. Additionally, he is currently involved with the Small Business Administration’s Washington chapter of SCORE, through which he provides guidance to business owners and serves as the business management counsel. Moreover, he is the author of “Leading Strategically: New Thinking for Entrepreneurs, Organizations, and Your Personal Life” and is nearing the completion of his second book, slated for publication this year and/or early next year.

Not only will Dr. Yemer’s second publication serve as a natural extension of the ideas presented in his initial work, but it will draw on inspiration from his studies on gaps in individuals’ daily lives and entrepreneurial pursuits. Furthermore, his expectant book will delve deeper into profound reflections on life and business. By publishing this second work, Dr. Yemer aspires to introduce an innovative methodology to assist in navigating challenges and uncertainties.
