Hailing from over 25 years of experience in the field of health care, Dr. Childers has distinguished himself as the owner and medical director of Delaware Integrative Medical Center, an area leader in regenerative therapy and pain management solutions. Prior to his current endeavors, Dr. Childers served in multiple roles at the Southern Ohio Medical Center, including as the chairman of the department of cardiac services and senior medical director of the cardiothoracic surgery division, having previously practiced at the University of Pennsylvania Division of Cardiothoracic Surgery. Presently, he is a co-investigator on the on the Health and Human Services Institutional Review Board Ozone efficacy research study, and has been recognized as a fellow of the American Academy of Ozone Therapy. Well-regarded for his scholarly rigor, he has contributed a wealth of articles to several journals in the field of molecular cell biology, and has disseminated his findings through various YouTube videos and other media avenues.

Drawing from an impressive background in both general surgery and cardiothoracic surgery, with an equally strong passion for biochemistry and molecular biology, Dr. Childers found himself thoroughly fascinated by every course he took, whether pathology, pharmacology, or any other subject. This love for learning new things motivated him to remain active in the field of medicine. After receiving a Bachelor of Science in biology and chemistry in 1984 from the University of Rhode Island, he went on to attend the Tufts University School of Medicine, from which he earned a Doctor of Medicine in 1996. Following this accomplishment, he completed his surgical residency at the New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center, after which he pursued a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania. During his career, Dr. Childers held positions as a senior clinical associate in surgery at Cornell University Medical College and served as the chief resident in the Department of Surgery at The New York Hospital-Cornell Medical Center.

Before embarking on his journey in the medical field, Dr. Childers found success and adventure as a professional sailor. Competing in the America’s Cup international sailing championship during the 1980s. He was recruited to be on the team to win the America’s Cup in 1986 and emerged victorious in 1987 to bring the America’s Cup back home. Other winning contributions to his credit include the Louis Vuitton Cup in 1986 and the Maxi Boat World Championships in 1988, 1989 and 1991. Outside of his present efforts, he has also coached soccer and taught advanced sailing techniques to interested students.

To remain aware of developments in his field, Dr. Childers maintains his affiliation with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, the American College for Advancement in Medicine, the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society, and the International Peptide Society. He is board-certified in general and cardiothoracic surgery and holds advanced certification in FSM and ozone therapy.

In accounting for his success, Dr. Childers largely credits his singular passion and dedication to the field of medicine, as well as his years of experience in molecular and cell biology, which has gifted him with longevity in his chosen career path. Among his most dearly held accomplishments, he is particularly proud of his two sons – Henry and Maxwell – both of whom are pursuing pre-medical degrees at Johns Hopkins University and the University of Michigan, respectively.
