SPRINGFIELD, OR, December 06, 2023 /24-7PressRelease/ — Marquis Who’s Who, the world’s premier publisher of biographical profiles, is proud to present Jasmine Rose Penter, LCSW, with the Albert Nelson Marquis Lifetime Achievement Award. An accomplished listee, Ms. Penter celebrates many years’ experience in her professional network, and has been noted for achievements, leadership qualities, and the credentials and successes she has accrued in her field. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Ms. Penter is renowned for her work as a private practice counselor, coach, educator, and owner of Ignite LLC in Springfield, Oregon. As a licensed clinical social worker, she utilizes her expertise to serve others by providing her expertise to tweens, teens, and young adults ages 11 through 30 to address various topics such as low self-esteem, body image, physical and hormonal changes, identity and vocational exploration, sexual issues, and more. Utilizing various counseling techniques, including Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing Therapy, Accelerated Resolution Therapy as well as talk therapy, solution-focused therapy, and problem-solving techniques, she also provides education about brain development. Additionally, Ms. Penter works with individuals regarding illness and grief, individuals and family members facing mental illness, and offers various forms of life coaching to assist with weight loss, professional development, parental goals, and other health related goals.

Despite Ms. Penter not having any intention of opening her own practice so soon after completing her masters, she opened Ignite LLC full time just before the COVID-19 pandemic made it to the United States of America. This has proven to be one of her best professional decisions to date. Her colleagues from the hospital had been tasked with too many responsibilities, and hundreds left due to caregiver burnout and secondary trauma. Meanwhile, Ms. Penter was able to utilize her trauma-informed practice with clients of her choosing with an eye on supporting people in a more humane way that can include deeper work over time. Ms. Penter has integrated canine and feline emotional support therapy into her practice which has been highly effective for people who continue to heal from the extreme isolation that resulted from the global pandemic.

Previously, Ms. Penter garnered expertise as a care manager and medical social worker at PeaceHealth from 2013 to 2020. She takes great pride in being able to start her own business and thrive in a field that she is very passionate about. Looking toward future goals, Ms. Penter aims to establish a foundation. She also hopes to create an outdoor space to utilize walk-and-talk therapy sessions. This will include a large concrete wall where clients can use their artistic talents, physical exertion and other types of healing movement. As a former avid indoor and outdoor soccer player and current first degree Black Belt in TaeKwonDo martial artist, Ms. Penter has a unique understanding of the mind, body, and soul work that can be utilized for healing psychological traumas. She also recently began penning a book, which weaves in her own personal journey to becoming a trauma informed counselor with a strong connection to her Chinese heritage and multiethnic background. Prior to the book, Side BYE Side, she is producing a documentary with the Director and Videographer of Blazing Heart Productions. This documentary will further illustrate the lessons and journey that Ms. Penter will continue to write about and research.

As an active member of her community and beyond, Ms. Penter enjoys donating to several worthy causes, including the American Cancer Society, Bloodworks Northwest, the World Wildlife Refuge, and the Eugene Mennonite Church. She also contributes to ongoing efforts towards addressing the after effects of war worldwide.

Ms. Penter is highly educated, earning a Bachelor of Social Work from Chatham College (now Chatham University) in 2001 and a Master of Social Work from the University of Southern California in 2013. During her studies, she was inducted into the Phi Alpha Honor Society at the University of Southern California and completed several internships. Ms. Penter received credentials as a licensed clinical social worker through the Oregon State Board of Licensed Social Workers.
