She takes the most pride in being asked to serve on the committee tasked with re-districting the city of Meridian, which was prompted by the city surpassing 100,000 residents.

MERIDIAN, ID, January 19, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Jo D. Greer has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on years of practiced experience in architecture, design, and project/construction management, Ms. Greer excels as the owner and president of METHOD Project Management, Architecture, Planning, as an architect and residential building designer. Most recently she worked as a (and now as in independent contractor) designer for Draftech, and previously as the Executive Vice President of Architecture and Construction for Rule Steel, Inc. For Rule Steel, Jo managed 4 pre-engineered metal buildings in Middleton, ID from planning/concept to Certificate of Occupancy- managing the procurement, permitting, and construction of the structures in a new industrial subdivision. Due to her considerable experience, Ms. Greer was one of two Drafting Technology instructors at the College of Western Idaho. In this role she taught students in 2-year Associates of Applied Science Degrees teaching AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Materials, Residential & Commercial Architectural Design, and Civil Design. Jo served as the CWI Skills USA Advisor overseeing 50-60 students from all technology programs in running a club, competing (and managing the students) in the State of Idaho Skills USA Competitions, and attending/advising students at the National Skills USA Competition in Louisville, Kentucky. For fundraising, she oversaw and managed a 200-car auto-show to also draw the community to the college and the programs offered. During this time, Jo was actively studying and taking the 6 National Council of Architectural Registration Boards (NCARB) exams. This was a 6-year process of taking exams and retaking exams until passing all 6 in May of 2022 and becoming a State of Idaho Licensed Architect on June 14, 2022.

During the early stages of her career, Ms. Greer honed her expertise in structural drafting, residential design, food packaging/processing plant design, backyard and pool design, architectural design, project management, and civil, landscape, & planning design through various roles with Pristine Backyards, Lumos & Associates, Landmark Engineering, Gowland Johanson Zimmerman Architecture, Process Specialists, Inc., Hyytinen Engineering, JWR Design, and Record Steel & Construction, Inc., and multiple projects with the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

An expert in her field, Ms. Greer earned a Bachelor of Applied Science in Drafting Technology from Boise State University in 1998, magna cum laude. Over the years, she expanded her professional knowledge by completing the NCARB IDP Program and qualifying to the Idaho Board of Architectural Examiners by using 8 years of experience in the field. Once accepted into the program, Jo was an Architect in Training- earning the required hours to qualify for the exams for an additional 4 years. Once all items were completed and approved through the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards, she began studying and sitting for the NCARB ARE 5.0 exams from 2006-2022. Jo also sat for the American Association of Building Designers and became a certified professional building designer in 2021. She has been a notary public since 2008 and became an Occupational Specialist in post-secondary education in 2016.

Outside of her work, Ms. Greer contributes to her community through Mayoral appointed positions with the City of Eagle Design Review Board as Vice Chair, the City of Meridian Parks and Recreation Commission Seat 6, and recently was appointed as a board member for the American Cancer Society (no city affiliation). Jo is heavily involved in Christmas in Meridian (2 weeks of activities), and you can find her orchestrating the parade stage decorating and managing everything “stage related” throughout the event. The following week, Jo transforms and becomes Jovie Elf at the Children’s Winterland Festival, and a photo assistant for the Santa photos with her professional photographer friend Sarah Crichton as they work hard to find perfect smiles and family photos with Santa- roughly 400 times. Jo’s hobbies include golfing and photography- which she uses for Google Reviews and has close to 3 million views of her reviews and 3 million views of her photos. She especially enjoys reviewing food for local restaurants. Jo also enjoys the outdoors; camping and fishing, and spending time with family (including her son Ethan Elordi) and her 2 Persian Cats, 1 Cockapoo Puppy, and 1 Quaker Parrot.

Recognizing her professional achievements, she was named the State of Idaho Advisor of the Year through the Idaho chapter of Skills USA after advising the entire college team for 3 years. While her career has been filled with highlights, she takes the most pride in being asked to serve on the committee tasked with re-districting the city of Meridian, which was prompted by the city surpassing 100,000 residents. The signed city ordinance and map are proudly displayed in her study with her signature next to the Meridian City Clerk Chris Johnson. Her other high achievement was coaching her son Ethan’s PAL (Police Association League) flag football team and having a very successful season. For several summers, Jo and her son hosted Boise Hawks Baseball Players, providing them room and board, and becoming their family away from home.

Hard work and dedication have brought Ms. Greer far in her career. However, she attributes her success to growing up on a farm in the country, having a father with a strong work ethic, and a mother who served as a source of inspiration (Tom & Danise McIntyre). Looking ahead, she intends to manage a project from start to finish and venture into the design/build aspects of the field. Similarly, Ms. Greer aims to expand her business by hiring more employees and remaining up-to-date regarding new industry technology.
