DECATUR, GA, March 29, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Juergen Rauleder has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. As in all Marquis Who’s Who biographical volumes, individuals profiled are selected on the basis of current reference value. Factors such as position, noteworthy accomplishments, visibility, and prominence in a field are all taken into account during the selection process.

Drawing on years of professional expertise in aerospace engineering and education, Dr. Rauleder excels as a professor of vertical lift aeromechanics at the Georgia Institute of Technology. In addition to his work as an educator, he maintains research interests in numerical simulations with experimental validation on novel VTOL designs/tests, the measurements and analytical predictions on fixed-wing and rotary-wing configurations, Rotorcraft/VTOL design and performance, vehicle aerodynamics, and more. Before obtaining his current role as a professor at the Georgia Institute of Technology, Dr. Rauleder taught Rotorcraft and VTOL aerodynamics as an assistant professor at the Technical University of Munich.

During the early stages of his career, Dr. Rauleder gained valuable expertise in education and research in varying roles with the University of Maryland, the Institute of Aerospace Thermodynamics at the University of Stuttgart, Robert Bosch, and MTU Aero Engines. An expert in his field, he earned a Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering with a specialization in Rotor Aerodynamics from the University of Stuttgart. Subsequently, Dr. Rauleder expanded on his professional knowledge by receiving a PhD in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Maryland and completing postdoctoral studies at the Technical University of Munich.

Driven to remain abreast of changes in the field, Dr. Rauleder aligns himself with the VFS Aerodynamics Committee and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics’ Applied Aerodynamics Committee, through which he is leading the Aero-Propulsive Interactions Group. For his outstanding work, he received a scholarship through the Vertical Flight Society in 2012 and became an Associate Fellow of the AIAA in 2023. He was recently recognized on the Georgia Tech Honor Roll for Excellence in Teaching, awarded to the top 5% of classes taught at Georgia Tech. While his career has been filled with highlights, Dr. Rauleder takes the most pride in mentoring and guiding his students.

Though hard work and dedication have brought him far in his career, Dr. Rauleder credits his success to his passion for the aerospace industry, his commitment to his students, and to his mentors that he had along the way. Looking toward the future, he intends to experience continued growth and success in his career.
