    ROCHESTER, NY, June 28, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Kara L. Brown was selected by Marquis Who’s Who for a prominent feature in the Rochester/Syracuse regional edition of Forbes.

Driven by a passion for blending creative expression with functional spaces, Ms. Brown has earned distinction as an interior designer at Bergmann since 2019. In this capacity, she collaborates with clients, architects, engineers and construction contractors to bring each project from conceptualization to a fully realized end stage. Among her most recent accomplishments, Ms. Brown has contributed to various municipal developments in and around Rochester and throughout the state of New York, including fire stations, town halls and libraries. Prior to her current role, she served in a similar position with Hanlon Architects from 2015 to 2019. Consistently motivated by her love of art, she draws a great sense of satisfaction from finding solutions for clients that are both aesthetically pleasing and environmentally sustainable.

Outside of her primary endeavors, Ms. Brown teaches choreography and technical color guard skills as an instructor for numerous organizations, including the Medina High School Marching Band, the Chili Color Guard Inc. and the White Sabers Drum Corps. In this capacity, she leverages 15 years of experience as a color guard member with the Patriots Winterguard, the Rochester Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, the Boston Crusaders Drum and Bugle Corps, and the White Sabers Drum and Bugle Corps.

As a commitment to her field, Ms. Brown has been active with several industry-related organizations, including the International Interior Design Association. Likewise known for her contributions as a civic-minded citizen, she has participated in various initiatives with the American Cancer Society, including the Making Strides Against Breast Cancer campaign and Relay for Life. Additionally, she contributed as an adult helper for the Spencerport Girl Scouts Service Unit from 2014 to 2017.

Ms. Brown credits much of her success to the mentorship she enjoyed while working under various interior designers, whose tutelage allowed her to gain more knowledge regarding her chosen field. She also recognizes her organizational skills, detail-oriented perspective and penchant for collaborating fruitfully with her colleagues. Looking toward the future, Ms. Brown aspires to serve as a mentor and work with local schools to cultivate the next generation of interior designers.

Ms. Brown studied interior design at the Rochester Institute of Technology, earning a Bachelor of Fine Arts in 2014. Well-qualified in her field, she also earned NCIDQ certification from the Council for Interior Design Qualification.

For her outstanding performance as a student, Ms. Brown was presented with an Undergraduate Scholar Award from the Rochester Institute of Technology in 2014.
