Mrs. Trosch is a distinguished professional in the field of clinical research, currently serving as the director of clinical affairs at ActivePure Medical since 2023. Her expertise in clinical research has been instrumental in advancing the organization’s standing within the infection control sector.
During her tenure at ActivePure Medical, Mrs. Trosch was the lead author of a major article titled “The effects of a novel, continuous disinfectant technology on methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA), fungi, and aerobic bacteria in 2 separate intensive care units in 2 different states: An experimental design with observed impact on health care associated infections (HAIs),” published in the American Journal of Infection Control in 2024. Her pivotal role in the publication of this landmark study marked ActivePure Medical’s first entry into the prestigious journal, as well as a significant accomplishment in her career. Her dedication and collaboration with colleagues were key to refining the research and achieving this success. Since this initial publication, she also co-authored a second article titled ” Evaluate the safety of a novel photohydrolysis technology used to clean and disinfect indoor air: A murine study published in the PLOS ONE Journal.
Prior to her current role, Mrs. Trosch was an associate territory manager at ZOLL Medical Corporation from 2022 to 2023. In this capacity, she honed her skills in medical device sales and management, contributing to the company’s growth and success in its region. Her experience in this role provided her with valuable insights into the medical industry, which she has leveraged in her subsequent position.
From 2019 until 2022, Mrs. Trosch worked as a registered nurse specializing in neurosurgery first as a staff nurse with Allegheny Health Network and then as a travel nurse with TotalMed Staffing. During this time, she applied her clinical knowledge and skills to provide exceptional patient care and gained extensive experience in patient management and health care delivery. Her early career prior to college graduation includes serving as a clinical researcher at Rubitection Inc. in 2019, establishing her strong foundation in research methodologies and data analysis.
Providing Mrs. Trosch with a comprehensive understanding of both engineering principles and nursing practices was her academic background. She was the first to earn dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Nursing and in Biomedical Engineering from Duquesne University. As a result of her career achievements, she was recognized with the Inaugural Alumni Award from Duquesne University.
Mrs. Trosch attributes her success to the unwavering support of God, the loving encouragement of her husband, and the strong foundation provided by her parents, who have been steadfast allies throughout her journey.
