During the early stages of her career, she gained valuable expertise as a Pre-press Quality Control Technician for the Los Angeles Daily News, a Production Layout Technician for the San Bernardino Sun, and as a Supervisor with Virgin.
In addition to her passion for engineering and technology, Ms. Duron is prodigiously dedicated to her country. She served as an E-4 Specialist in the United States Army Signal Corps during which time she was deployed to South Korea to support the 1st Signal Brigade Yongsan Garrison. She operated, maintained, and installed military telephones in addition to handling the COMSEC equipment for the President of the United States, AFKN radio and AM/FM transmission systems. Throughout her service, Ms. Duron was also deployed to Fort Lewis, Washington for combat communications with the 29th Signal Battalion in support of the I Corps 7th Infantry Division.
An expert in her field, Ms. Duron earned a Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Communications Engineering from ITT Technical Institute and an Associate of Science in Visual Communications in Multimedia Design from Collins College. Subsequently, she expanded her professional knowledge by earning certifications in Project Management, Electric Vehicles, Counterintelligence Training, Electrical Safety Training, and Radio Frequency. Additionally, she has been awarded certifications for Duron Industries as a Woman-Owned, Veteran-Owned, Minority-Owned, and a Disadvantaged Small Business. She also aligns herself with the American National Standards Institute to remain abreast of changes in the field. In conjunction with her work, Ms. Duron has contributed to her community as a mentor for veterans, women in science, young entrepreneurs, athletes, and as an advocate for victims of domestic violence.
