Now retired, Ms. Sheggeby was a retired registered nurse and senior health and disability coordinator who concluded her career with Chevron Corporate Medical (CCM) in 1991 after eight years in her position. During her tenure, she conducted physical exams of employees from abroad and was notably responsible for establishing the company’s disability management program from the ground up at its San Francisco office.

Before joining CCM, Ms. Sheggeby was affiliated with the Mayo Medical Clinic on its Methodist Campus in Rochester, Minnesota, treating patients on the orthopedic surgical floor. She subsequently moved across the country to San Francisco and was employed by Metropolitan Life Insurance Company, running the clinic and doing medical life insurance underwriting.

During an earlier stage of her career, Ms. Sheggeby worked for various rehabilitation centers, hospitals, nursing homes, and other health care facilities in Minnesota and South Dakota, specializing in obstetrics and delivery, geriatric care, and other areas of the field.

Having garnered extensive expertise in her industry, Ms. Sheggeby notes that nursing careers are endless. She is grateful for her many opportunities and is genuinely passionate about her work. Looking toward the future, Ms. Sheggeby aims to begin giving back to the future generation of nurses through consulting or serving as an advocate for patients.

Ms. Sheggeby has held a nursing degree from the Fairview Hospital School of Nursing in Minneapolis since 1961. She is also certified as an x-ray technician, audiologist, and disability case management professional. As part of her continued commitments to her industry, Ms. Sheggeby is a member of the American Nurses Association.
