These miners had relied on respirators that were intended to shield them from coal dust exposure, but the respirators were determined to be faulty, contradicting the manufacturers’ assurances. Some of the miners lost their lives or needed lung transplants and long-term reliance on oxygen. Fortunately, Ms. Cronen was able to successfully resolve these cases for her clients. Ms. Cronen has also made significant contributions in the resolution of multiple other product liability cases against the manufacturers of defective medical devices and pharmaceuticals.

Throughout her career, Ms. Cronen has been an active volunteer at her children’s schools, dedicating her time to teaching various Junior Achievement classes, working with the PTO in various capacities, volunteering at sporting events, and similar activities. Ms. Cronen is also committed to creating an environment where the achievements, talents and perspectives of women in the legal profession are acknowledged and celebrated. In that regard, she is a past President of the local Women Lawyers Association, and has served in other various capacities in that group, including as a mentor in collaboration with the Women’s Law Caucus at the Brandeis School of Law to provide valuable guidance and support to aspiring legal professionals.

Prior to embarking on her professional journey, Ms. Cronen earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Louisville in 1999 and attained a Juris Doctor from the University of Louisville Louis D. Brandeis School of Law in 2002. Well-qualified in her field, she is a licensed attorney in Kentucky, Indiana, Tennessee, and Massachusetts. Among her professional accomplishments, she was rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell and is a multiple-time Super Lawyer since 2018, including a Top 25 Woman Lawyer in Kentucky for 2023.
