Linda Foreman channels years of expertise into her work with Durham Public Schools

At the community level, she has served as a site coordinator at the Research Triangle Regional Partnership. Beyond her professional endeavors, she actively engages in volunteer work, demonstrating a solid commitment to community service. Her experience in the field of education extends beyond the traditional classroom setting. Through the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, she has served as a national volunteer partner, program specialist, and program director. Ms. Foreman’s dedication to empowering young women and supporting their personal and professional growth is also highlighted by her role as president of the World Foundation for Girl Guides and Girl Scouts.
Given her professional achievements, Ms. Foreman has been honored many times, earning the Juliette Gordon Low World Friendship Medal through the Girl Scouts of the United States of America, a Community Impact Award, the Transformation to Greatness Award, and a Service Award for Outstanding Service from Phi Delta Kappa. While her career has been filled with highlights, Ms. Foreman takes the most pride in serving on the Girl Scouts of the United States of America National Board and leading the realignment of the Scouts Councils, which involved consolidating 330 entities into 110.
Looking ahead, Ms. Foreman’s vision is clear. She intends to further her leadership role with the Girl Scouts, bringing new ideas and initiatives to the table.
