Ms. Morello is an advertising executive celebrating nearly three decades of success as the chief executive officer and president of Manhattan Media Services, Inc. A graduate of Lehman College, she completed a Bachelor of Arts in 1977. A natural creative with an eye for communication, Ms. Morello was drawn to opportunities in the advertising and marketing industries, and began her career working in large firms.
In the early 1990s, Ms. Morello worked with a large media buying service that was beginning the process of relocating away from New York City. Tied to the location by her son’s school and her husband’s work with Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center, she requested that the company maintain a presence within the city that would enable her to continue to work for them. When the company declined her request, Ms. Morello decided to pursue independent entrepreneurship, launching Manhattan Media Services in 1995. Initially focusing on print advertising services, the firm has expanded to offer digital and social media services, broadcast and radio advertising, and other out-of-home solutions, with a client list including blue-chip companies as well as startups and marketing teams.
Recognized as a leader and an innovator in her industry, Ms. Morello has been the recipient of accolades including Folio Magazine’s 2018 Top Women in Media award and induction into the Response Magazine DR Hall of Fame. She considers her success in transitioning the agency from its early focus on direct response marketing to full-service branding to be among her greatest accomplishments, and is proud to have worked on launch campaigns for major players in the spirits and celebrity fragrance markets. Ms. Morello is a member of the Performance-Driven Marketing Institute, the DRMA, the ERA, and the National Association of Professional Women. She credits her rise in the industry to her drive and determination, emphasizing the need to remain enthusiastic despite challenges and constant change. Outside her work in advertising and marketing, Ms. Morello is an active supporter of the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Memorial Sloan Kettering, Wounded Warriors, and Shriners International. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors hiking, birdwatching, and playing pickleball.
