CINCINNATI, OH, January 15, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Marie Elyse Krulewitch-Browne has been inducted into Marquis Who’s Who. Ms. Krulewitch-Browne is the founder, executive and artistic director of ish, a Cincinnati-based nonprofit organization dedicated to sharing and celebrating Jewish arts, culture, and history. Launched in 2016, Ms. Krulewitch-Browne focuses on providing a variety of arts and creative experiences rooted in Jew-ish rituals and wisdom to the community, engaging people of all backgrounds year-round through food, music, cultural activities, and more.
Notably, the name “ish” was derived from Ms. Krulewitch-Browne’s decision to provide some of the expected and unexpected, pairing the traditional with the unconventional, to create transformative experiences for Jews and non-Jews alike. She leads a team responsible for the strategic design and vision of the organization’s mission, which focuses on creating unique events that are both fun and human-centered. Her overarching goal is to create opportunities for connection, acceptance and understanding for all participants. Ms. Krulewitch-Browne also oversees program execution and administrative tasks.

Eager for the future of her organization, she aims to develop intentional spaces that continually foster meaningful connections.
Ms. Krulewitch-Browne began her career with ArtWorks in 2011 as a development and marketing intern. Continually progressing within the organization, she earned the roles of project liaison, corporate relations and events manager, and, among other positions, managing director of programs until 2020. ArtWorks is known for employing and empowering young artists, creating meaningful community projects, and partnering with diverse groups to develop impactful partnerships and experiences.
As a dedicated leader in her community, Ms. Krulewitch-Browne has been affiliated with several local and national nonprofits, including the League of Women Voters of Greater Cincinnati, the Nonprofit Leadership Council of Greater Cincinnati, Planned Parenthood, the NAACP, and several area synagogues and community service organizations, including serving on the young adult board of the Jewish Federation of Cincinnati.
Ms. Krulewitch-Browne holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from Ohio Wesleyan University since 2011. She also completed the Wexner Heritage Program and the Leadership Council of Nonprofits’ BOLD program.
In light of her success, her nonprofit received a Slingshot Top 10 to Watch Award in 2022 and a Venture Accelerator Award from UpStart in 2022. Ms. Krulewitch-Browne also received recognition with a 40 Under 40 Award from the Cincinnati Business Courier in 2022.
