Mr. Ntawigenga is the global clinical biomarkers and diagnostics operations lead for oncology at Amgen Inc., a multinational biopharmaceutical company that discovers, develops, manufacturers and delivers innovative medicines. Since joining the company in 2021, he has assumed responsibility for myriad critical tasks, including reviewing manuals, samples and procedures and developing projects and research. His expertise in project management, statistical analysis, and regulatory compliance has been instrumental in his success.
Prior to his current position, Mr. Ntawigenga was a biomarker specialist and biobank operations lead for U.S. and U.K. strategy at another pharmaceutical company, Eisai U.S., from 2019 to 2021. During his tenure there, he co-founded a clinical biomarker team within the company, identifying critical data for decision-making purposes. He also led the biobanks and their teams independently, successfully recruiting additional talent for various projects.
From 2014 to 2020, Mr. Ntawigenga served as a clinical project manager at LanceSoft, Inc., where he honed his skills in managing complex clinical trials and ensuring regulatory compliance. Before that, he was a global clinical trial manager, further solidifying his expertise in overseeing international clinical studies.
Mr. Ntawigenga’s academic background includes a bachelor’s degree in biology from the University of Massachusetts Boston and coursework at Wentworth Institute of Technology. He attributes his success to discipline and dedication, drawing motivation from the challenges he faced as an immigrant from a poor family. Born in a warzone in Bukavu City in the Democratic Republic of the Congo, he immigrated to the United States in search of educational and professional opportunities and now works to be a positive impact on communities. He also credits his faith in God for his achievements.
In his free time, Mr. Ntawigenga enjoys biking, reading, going to the beach, and running. Looking ahead, he aims to continue helping communities and hopes to open an agency that will extend his expertise and desire to assist more people.
