Ms. Monroe is a distinguished educator with a career spanning over two (2) decades. She is also an entrepreneur who recently launched her own company, BevSpark International Limited LLC, an enterprise geared towards providing education, as well as consultancy to individuals of all ages and nationalities. Prior to the aforementioned business venture, Ms. Monroe provided Elementary Education within the Florida Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, a private Christian network of Early Childhood Centers, Elementary Schools, Middle Schools and High Schools. Having dedicated the past twenty (20) years to the nurturing and development of young minds, her scope of content areas taught includes, but is not limited to the areas of Business Communication, language courses such as Vocabulary, and general acquisition courses related to American cultural practices. Additionally, Ms. Monroe has taught English as a Second Language (ESL) online to students worldwide.

Ms. Monroe’s journey in education began with her early academic achievements in the Caribbean, where she excelled within the British Educational System. Encouraged by her mother to give back to society, she developed a passion for teaching and often assisted classmates with various subjects such as Chemistry. This early dedication to helping others inspired Ms. Monroe to pursue a career as an educational missionary from the age of seventeen (17). By the age of nineteen (19), while serving as an educator at a small parochial school, she was awarded a scholarship to pursue an Associate of Arts Degree at the University of the Southern Caribbean (formerly Caribbean Union College). That opportunity became the catalyst through which her career as an educator would take flight in later years and influence students across the globe.

Throughout her career, Ms. Monroe has held several other notable positions. She served as an adjunct instructor at the Florida International University from 2019 to 2020, followed by EF International Language Schools from 2020 to 2021, where she gained expertise in higher education instruction, while focusing on language acquisition for non-native speakers. Previously, she served as a member of the Strategic Planning Committee of the Southeastern Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, where she served as both Principal and Teacher of a parochial private school. Ms. Monroe’s international teaching experience included positions in the Caribbean from 2003 to 2012, the U.S. Virgin Islands between 2013 and 2015, the United States from 2015 to 2019, then from 2019 teaching students from China, Dubai, Africa, Russia, and a host of other countries.

As a lifelong learner and scholarship recipient, Ms. Monroe obtained an Associate of Arts Degree in Elementary Education with distinction (Magna Cum Laude) from the University of the Southern Caribbean in 2007. She then earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education with distinction (Magna Cum Laude) from Andrews University of Michigan in 2010. She also obtained a Master of Science in Business Leadership with distinction (Summa Cum Laude) from Concordia College, New York in 2016. More recently, Ms. Monroe completed a Masters Certification in Teaching English Learners from the American College of Education in 2021. These academic accomplishments have been instrumental in shaping her successful career as an educator.

Ms. Monroe is affiliated with professional organizations, including the Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages International Association (TESOL), reflecting her commitment to professional development and excellence in teaching English as a Second Language. She was also previously a member of NAFSA: Association of International Educators, an organization dedicated to international education and exchange. As a former member of Toastmasters International, Ms. Monroe served as the Public Relations Officer (PRO) of her distinguished Club 933 in the US Virgin Islands. Prior to this, she became a member of the Virgin Islands Writing Project (VIWP), a non-profit organization that provides professional development in the areas of Reading and Literacy.
