Over the past two years, Mr. Reiser has facilitated the transition of two manufacturers in Wisconsin to biodegradable products, diverting 40,000 pounds of virgin plastic from the waste stream.

Mr. Reiser has been excelling as the general manager at Packaging Systems of Wisconsin in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, since 2022. In this role, he is responsible for transitioning management to sustainable packaging, handling networking and public relations, and helping build the company’s brand and branch. His expertise in sustainable packaging, warehousing and logistics has been instrumental in his success.

Before joining his manufacturing company, Mr. Reiser was the warehouse manager and shipping and packaging manager at Nilfisk in 2021. From 2018 to 2020, he was the global packaging engineer at Nilfisk, where he developed innovative packaging solutions on a global scale. He was initially hired by Nilfisk in 2011 as a supply chain project manager before transitioning into a sales and operations manager in 2012, overseeing various operational aspects of the business.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Reiser worked for 3M as a supply chain analyst from 2009 to 2011. He was also affiliated with Kimberly-Clark as an RFID packaging engineer between 2006 and 2007 after completing a co-op in the same role from 2004 to 2005. Mr. Reiser’s decision to resign from Kimberly-Clark in 2007 to pursue further education in supply chain management proved highly beneficial, especially as the technology he had been working on became less prominent due to high costs.

Mr. Reiser obtained a Bachelor of Science in packaging and a Master of Science in technology management with a focus on supply chain management from the University of Wisconsin-Stout. Additionally, he is certified in RFID+ by CompTIA. His academic background has significantly contributed to his professional achievements and expertise.

Throughout his career, Mr. Reiser has been recognized for his contributions to promoting sustainability and raising awareness about the importance of packaging and customer experience. He successfully reduced freight damage at his company from 1% to one in every 500 units sold. Over the past two years, Mr. Reiser has facilitated the transition of two manufacturers in Wisconsin to biodegradable products, diverting 40,000 pounds of virgin plastic from the waste stream. Among other achievements, he secured a U.S. patent in 2007 for an RFID system and method for tracing individual articles.

Mr. Reiser is an active member of several industry-related organizations, including as a member of the Institute of Packaging Professionals. He is also a past president of the Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals’ student chapter. His dedication to sustainability extends beyond his professional life through civic activities. Most notably, Mr. Reiser is involved with the Wisconsin Sustainable Business Council. Additionally, he serves on the board of Big Brothers Big Sisters WI Shoreline Inc., is a campaign engagement committee member for the United Way of Sheboygan County and was an ambassador for Guild Incorporated in Saint Paul, Minnesota.

Passionate about his field, Mr. Reiser seeks to encourage more manufacturers to consider their overall manufacturing footprint and product lifecycle by focusing on environmental sustainability. He attributes much of his success to his upbringing and the values instilled by his parents, which continue to drive him to make a positive impact through his work and personal endeavors.
