Her workshops often result in products such as process and technology implementations or leadership training programs. She previously co-founded Contingent Workforce Institute and has now launched a successful consulting consortium, Workforce Strategy Advisors (WSA). WSA consists of well-known Management Consultants specializing in Human Capital Strategies and Organizational Design. The consortium was developed to provide any size organization with access to senior workforce strategists and experienced implementers, at competitive rates. WSA puts clients directly in contact with talent that has specialized expertise.
Prior to founding Wing Strategies LLC and Workforce Strategy Advisors, Ms. Hammer served as a Senior Vice President at WG Consulting LLC and as a Managing Director. Candice has served as an Interim COO for several organizations as she supported their operational launch, GTM strategy and organizational development during early stages. From 2012 to 2021, she worked as a Contingent Labor Consultant for SHIFT13 LLC, a company she founded shortly after her first child was born. During her tenure at SHIFT13, several organizations asked her to join them internally to run operations.
Hammer’s extensive career also includes consulting roles at some of the largest oil & gas companies globally. She served as a Consultant for ConocoPhillips and as an account director on-site at Royal Dutch Shell for IQNavigator from 2005 to 2010. Hammer has held various positions at CORESTAFF Services from 1998 to 2005, including performance partnership director for Continental Airlines and performance partnership manager for the Houston Chronicle. Early in her career, while continuing her education, she worked in marketing at J Bar B Foods and as a personal assistant to Pro Football Hall of Famer and Heisman Trophy winner, Earl Campbell.
Ms. Hammer’s expertise in human capital strategy and organizational design is widely recognized in her industry. Her success can be attributed to her commitment to doing the right thing, always treating people with respect, and maintaining her reputation of quality and trust. Clients consistently return to her because of her deep industry knowledge and ability to always put people and relationships above all.
Her journey into the profession was largely influenced by her uncle, Robert McNabb, who served as the chief executive officer of a national staffing company. At a very young age she worked for the staffing company’s clients, meeting their contingent recruiting needs. Her first full-time recruiting position right out of high school was for an electronics company during the challenging Y2K time frame. This experience led her to leave recruiting temporarily to focus on her studies.
Over the course of her career, Ms. Hammer has gleaned invaluable insights on how to care about people and always prioritize doing what’s right, values that were ingrained in her by her family. Her Uncle Bob imparted a particularly impactful lesson on her – that “people want to win and feel loved.” She has carried this philosophy with her throughout her professional life. As a result, she is dedicated to supporting her clients, colleagues, friends, and partners, wherever possible. Ms. Hammer is mindful of the kindness and encouragement she has received from others in the past and remains committed to fostering that same sense of compassion and motivation in those she encounters, whether they are working for her or with her.
Ms. Hammer personally attributes most of her achievement to the reputation she has built in the industry and the trust people have in her work. Aside from her professional accomplishments, Ms. Hammer has also immersed herself in various civic organizations. Her passion for making a positive impact in her community is evident as she holds roles on various business and philanthropic boards. Additionally, she is actively involved in volunteering for a Horse Therapy Organization, fundraising for diversity organizations and providing youth career mentorship through a program she developed within Workforce Strategy Advisors.
Outside of her professional endeavors, Ms. Hammer enjoys spending time with her family & friends, traveling and horseback riding on her property in Colorado.
