Mr. Jungjohann is a distinguished figure in the creative industry, primarily known for his role as the founder and principal at Recess Creative, a dynamic creative services and technology agency based in Ohio. Since 2009, he has established himself as a visionary leader in digital and interactive design. His journey in the creative field began with roles that laid the foundation for his expertise and leadership – prior to founding Recess Creative, he served as an associate creative director at Rosetta from 2008 to 2010, where he honed his skills in digital marketing strategies. Previously, he was an interactive designer at Melamed Riley Advertising from 2007 to 2008, further solidifying his design credentials.
Mr. Jungjohann’s commitment to education and nurturing future talents is evident from his tenure as an adjunct professor. He imparted his knowledge and skills at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 2011 to 2012 and at Cuyahoga Community College from 2009 to 2011. These roles underscored a deep passion for education and a desire to contribute to the growth of aspiring designers. Additionally, his early career included a significant role as assistant director of admissions at the Cleveland Institute of Art from 2005 to 2007, where he first blended his creative pursuits with administrative acumen.
As a member of the American Advertising Federation-Cleveland, Mr. Jungjohann has actively engaged with peers and contributed to advancing the standards of advertising and design. Having earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in photography and digital media from the Cleveland Institute of Art in 2005, Mr. Jungjohann, cultivated a passion for solving problems and applying his creative acumen to various challenges. After several years of working in both academia and in the marketing and advertising industry, he found that he could provide the same level of customer service as a small agency with the big ideas of a large agency by working independently.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Jungjohann finds joy in spending time with his family and engaging in hobbies such as playing golf and visiting galleries. Looking ahead, he is focused on continuing to expand his agency and other business ventures. Among his upcoming projects is the recent launch of his new Video & Photography studio, Buds & Pals.
