Mr. Beinetti, a distinguished architect with a profound commitment to community development, has made significant contributions to the field of architecture and beyond. As a principal at SWBR since 1983, he has played a pivotal role in steering the national, award-winning design firm toward innovative design solutions that positively impact lives. Mr. Beinetti’s involvement in client projects, board meetings, business development opportunities, and engaging in strategies all showcase his dedication to promoting excellence within the industry.

Mr. Beinetti’s architect and project manager career began at SWBR, which has locations in Rochester, Syracuse, and Troy, New York in 1979. Since then, he has been instrumental in shaping the firm’s success, longevity, and evolution. His subsequent roles as the firm’s president from 1998 to 2017 and board chair between 2017 and 2019 further demonstrated his commitment to excellence. These positions allowed Mr. Beinetti to influence the direction of SWBR significantly, guiding it through periods of growth and change while ensuring that the firm remained at the forefront of architectural innovation.

In preparation for his career, Mr. Beinetti earned dual degrees, a Bachelor of Architecture and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, from Syracuse University in 1975. Beyond his educational accomplishments, he has been actively involved in various civic organizations, reflecting his commitment to community service. He is a board member and past board chair for the Rochester Downtown Development Corporation, the co-chair for development at Monroe Community College Foundation Inc., serves on upstate New York boards for NAIOP and DBIA, and is a board member for several other notable organizations. He serves as a deacon at Grace Church PCA.

Mr. Beinetti’s career is marked by extensive professional excellence. His approach to architectural design has been instrumental, having developed a long list of aesthetically pleasing, functional, and inclusive projects. Mr. Beinetti’s dedication has been recognized with numerous awards, including the Business ICON Award from the Rochester Business Journal in 2022, the Medal of Distinction from the American Institute of Architects Rochester Chapter in 2022, the New York State American Institute of Architects Frederic Schwartz Community Development in 2020 and a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Rochester Builders Exchange in 2022.

Mr. Beinetti aims to transition within the next few years. However, he remains committed to serving on local boards and working with several leading nonprofits to continue his legacy of community involvement and support.
