Prior to her current role, Dr. Cook was a senior recruiter at Alexander Mann Solutions (AMS) from 2022 to 2023, where she further developed her skills in sourcing and interviewing candidates. From 2020 to 2022, she served as a regional recruiting specialist at Prudential Financial, where she played a crucial role in revitalizing operations and turning around underperforming areas.
Dr. Cook’s career began with roles that laid the foundation for her expertise in recruitment and management. From 2015 to 2017, she worked as a training and recruiting consultant at Mutual of Omaha. She was also a professional recruiter at Express Employment Professionals from 2014 to 2015 and served as an assistant property manager at both BSC Holdings and Ginkgo Residential between 2012 and 2014. Initially pursuing a career in medicine, she worked as a pharmaceutical sales representative at Sciele Pharma from 2005 to 2007 before pivoting to the field of recruitment.
Dr. Cook’s academic journey has been integral to her professional accomplishments. She earned a doctorate in theology from the Christian Bible Institute and Seminary in Texas, which complemented her work by providing a strong ethical foundation. Furthermore, her Master of Science in applied psychology and post master’s teaching certification from Walden University equipped her with insights into human behavior that are invaluable in recruitment.
Beyond her professional endeavors, Dr. Cook is actively involved with civic-minded organizations such as USI Gives Back and her church society. Her dedication to community service is mirrored by her husband’s dual leadership roles as a pastor for both Pentecostal and Lutheran churches, enhancing their collective and diverse outreach efforts.
