Through her management systems and operations consulting firm, Dr. Del-Zio has been focused on assisting other companies to move forward successfully.

Before launching her consulting firm, Dr. Del-Zio was a field operations manager and monitoring support lead at DLH Danya International from 2017 to 2022, where she honed her operational efficiency and support skills. Her journey also included impactful tenures as a quality assurance manager at MAAC between 2012 and 2017, regional program specialist and site program specialist at Harmonium Inc. from 2009 to 2012, and sales and marketing specialist at Oasis Realty and Property Management between 2004 and 2009. During an earlier stage of her career, Dr. Del-Zio also garnered success in education as the owner of a daycare facility, educational assistant and substitute teacher, and sensory-motor teacher, dating back to 1990.

Building on a solid academic foundation, Dr. Del-Zio received a Bachelor of Arts in liberal arts and sciences/liberal studies from California State University San Marcos in 1996, a Master of Arts in nonprofit leadership and management from the University of San Diego in 2015, and a Doctoral Degree in organizational change and leadership from the University of Southern California. Her academic pursuits have been complemented by several professional credentials as a certified diversity and inclusion facilitator from the ILR School at Cornell University and as a nonprofit professional from the Nonprofit Leadership Alliance.

Dr. Del-Zio’s expertise is further underscored by her active participation in several industry-related organizations, including the California Child Care Advancement Association and the California Head Start Association. Apart from her professional endeavors, her civic engagement extends to volunteering with The Elizabeth Hospice since 2014 and through involvement with various committees, including the public relations committee of Casa de Amparo and the program development committee of Interfaith Community Services.

Having recently completed writing a chapter for an upcoming book, “The Rise of Female Global Leaders,” Dr. Del-Zio’s contribution is a powerful metaphor for the various adversities and challenges she had to overcome. Additionally, she is working on her own book, “Keep It Simple Succeed,’ aimed at guiding aspiring entrepreneurs and emerging community leaders, which she seeks to complete and publish soon.

Inspired by her father’s perseverance and dedication to serving his community, Dr. Del-Zio’s career led her to significant roles within the nonprofit sector. Her experiences have fueled her desire to give back through her business by assisting nonprofits in enhancing their services. Looking toward the future, Dr. Del-Zio is working to expand her business and empower other women. She also plans to continue sharing her expertise through speaking engagements and mentorship to help others discover their purpose.

In light of her success, Dr. Del-Zio’s contributions have been recognized with several awards, such as an Outstanding Leadership Award from the Education 2.0 Conference in 2024.
