The past few months have seen a rapid growth in business, for which Ms. Nuñez is very grateful.
She is also the CEO of A Team Flooring Corporation, which boasts its own installation crew.
Apart from working with clients, Ms. Nuñez has demonstrated exceptional versatility by handling all aspects of her business, including bookkeeping, sales, and contracts. Her entrepreneurial journey marks a significant milestone in her career, transitioning from working for others to successfully running her enterprise.
Before founding TerraFlor Solutions, LLC, Ms. Nuñez served as a territory manager for a wholesale flooring company from 2019 to 2024. In this role, she honed her sales and customer relations skills, contributing significantly to its growth. Between 2016 and 2019, Ms. Nuñez also found success as a sales representative at Dal-Tile Corporation, servicing the Greater Nevada area. Her career began at JE Simas Floors Inc., where she worked from 2002 to 2016. Gaining invaluable experience in various facets of the business, she worked with leaders in the industry on remodels and new flooring for residential, commercial, and tenant improvement properties.
Before transitioning into the flooring sector, Ms. Nuñez was a housing specialist at King County Housing Authority in 2010 and worked with Otis Elevator Company from 2008 to 2009. Earlier in her career, she served as a warranty coordinator at Reynen and Bardis in 2007.
An alumna of the University of Nevada, Reno, Ms. Nuñez earned an associate degree in architecture in 2003. Her academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career and enabling her to excel in various roles within the industry. Ms. Nuñez attributes her success to her drive, problem-solving abilities, and genuine care for the individuals she works with.
Ms. Nuñez is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, which supports her career. She also involves herself in civic causes, such as the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. Ms. Nuñez’s dedication to her profession has earned her several accolades, including a President’s Award and a Most Sales Award.
Looking ahead, Ms. Nuñez envisions expanding her business throughout California and aims to help as many clients as possible by providing comprehensive services under one roof. Ms. Nuñez would like to acknowledge some individuals who have been instrumental in her growth. First and foremost is Karen Fleischmann. Ms. Nuñez is continuing Ms. Fleischmann’s 50-year run in the industry. Ms. Nuñez would also like to thank James Simas who has blindly allowed her to prosper without asking for anything in return. She also says that she must mention her marketing team (Sadie, Rodney and Tony) without whom she would not be where she is today.
