Over the years she has partnered with large retail chains globally to bring quality products to shelves worldwide.

Her extensive experience recently led her to establish viemaa, a transformative premium hair care brand that supports underserved women and children through its “Save A Strand, Save A Soul.TM” charitable arm, one-way Opoku is giving back to communities in need.

From an array of successful international brand launches to the building and training of global teams, Opoku counts cultivating 65+ untapped markets in six regions of the world and growing a startup brand to 35% of the company’s total revenue among her many points of pride.

Prior to founding WAMHJO Group and viemaa, Opoku served as Chief Marketing Officer at Smith Global Substrates and held leadership positions at Raani Corporation and AFAM Concept, Inc., where she increased domestic revenue by 10% and led a 29-member global sales team.

Opoku graduated with an Executive MBA from Kellogg School of Management, Northwestern University. She is a member of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC), the Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) and is recipient of 2012 Kellogg School of Management ‘Class of 1979 Scholarship.’
