Prior to founding her consultancy in 2022, Ms. Rivera served as a project coordinator at My Health My Resources of Tarrant County, where she played a pivotal role in expanding one of their initiatives to encompass 18 counties, marking a groundbreaking achievement as the first of its kind in Texas. This inspired 12 additional communities to adopt and adapt the model, fostering a network of family support across the state. From 2020 to 2022, she was involved in community alignment at the same organization, where she collaborated with stakeholders to implement innovative programs.
Ms. Rivera’s career also includes serving from 2019 to 2020 as a Pritzker Fellow at Tarrant County Public Health, a prestigious group of national early childhood leaders, where she supported programs that highlighted the power of community collaboration amongst non-profits and service-based organizations. Her earlier experience as an administrative coordinator at the University of North Texas provided her with valuable insights into building new programs and connecting with the community. Additionally, since 2015, she has been a business owner and independent beauty consultant with Mary Kay Cosmetics.
Ms. Rivera holds a Master of Education in Higher Education with a concentration in Student Affairs Administration from the University of North Texas. She also earned a Bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies with a concentration in Family and Community from the same institution.
In addition to her professional achievements, Ms. Rivera is actively involved in civic organizations. She serves on the programming committee for the Columbus Chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners and holds various roles at her local church. Furthermore, she contributes her expertise as a member of a local school board and early learning nonprofit in Columbus.
Born in Las Vegas, Ms. Rivera enjoys spending time in nature, traveling, and being with her husband, Kevin, and their two “fur babies.” Looking ahead, she envisions expanding her team at Alo Civitas Consulting LLC by recruiting diverse professionals to enhance the firm’s services for business owners and the non-profit sector. Additionally, she plans to write a book in 2025 exploring effective practices for leaders and professionals to thrive while preventing burnout.
