With more than a decade of experience in his profession, he has demonstrated expertise in managing operations, onboarding, continuous education, compliance, training, diversity and inclusion, and partnership strategies. His dedication to leveraging data to enhance learning outcomes has been a hallmark of his career, allowing him to create tailored strategies that foster growth and predict potential performance, where he was instrumental in shaping the company’s culture and learning and development strategies.
Before joining Envista Holdings Corporation in 2024, Mr. Leon held the position of global manager of talent development, culture, and internal communications at Establishments Labs. Prior to that, he held multiple roles at Tek Experts, including global head of training delivery and performance, global head of content development, platforms, and analytics, and site training manager.
Mr. Leon’s career journey also has included significant roles such as senior instructional designer at the Inter-American Development Bank, training specialist at Amazon, and training manager and instructional designer at N3. Earlier in his career, he served as department coordinator and music teacher at Pan-American School from 2013 to 2015 and band director for the Public Instruction Department of North Dakota from 2012 to 2013.
Mr. Leon’s academic background is extensive and diverse. He completed coursework in professional data science and machine learning at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2023 and earned a MicroMasters in instructional design and technology from the University of Maryland in 2018. He holds a Master of Arts in project management from Universidad Latinoamericana de Ciencia y Tecnologia, graduating cum laude in 2015. Additionally, he earned a Bachelor of Arts in music education from Universidad de Costa Rica in 2014 and dual degrees from Concordia College—a Bachelor of Science in education cum laude and a Bachelor of Arts in music—in 2012.
Mr. Leon is known for being well-rounded, committed to lifelong learning, and socially aware; he deeply values his personal connections with family and friends and desires to contribute positively to the world. Beyond his professional achievements, he is actively involved with civic-minded organizations such as Habitat for Humanity International, where he contributes to global learning, leadership development, and talent management initiatives. He has also volunteered as an elderly assistant at Eventide Senior Living Communities and as an assistant at Home Shelter Fargo.
In his personal life, Mr. Leon enjoys playing musical instruments including the euphonium and trombone. He also finds joy in singing, playing tennis, and cooking.
