With a career spanning over two decades, he has established himself as an expert in Oracle go-to-market strategies. Since 2022, he has been managing multiple portfolios at HCL and oversees all Oracle products involving data, implementation, development and support. He is responsible for handling projects across North America, addressing client needs related to upgrade issues or business process remapping and engaging in profit and loss management.
Prior to reaching his current role at HCL Technologies, Mr. Batlapadu was the director and then senior director of the company’s global Oracle cloud practice division from 2017 to 2022. In these capacities, he played a pivotal role in expanding the company’s services and solutions while honing his skills in cloud integration and client engagement. His journey with HCL began in 2013 when he joined as an associate director of the Oracle cloud practice.
Mr. Batlapadu’s career commenced at NASCO as a software engineer from 1996 to 1998. He then joined Tata Consultancy Services Limited as an associate consultant in the Oracle practice from 1999 to 2008. His tenure at Deloitte Consulting from 2008 to 2012, during which he was the manager of Oracle package technology in the enterprise applications practice division, marked a significant milestone as he collaborated with top executives to solve complex business problems by linking them to information technology solutions.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Batlapadu holds several patents, including one for an AI-based computing device for consumer sentiment data analysis and another for an AI- and cloud-based public security camera device, both granted in the United Kingdom in 2025. He is also a member of various industry-related organizations, having served on the board of directors and partner liaison for OAUG AP SIG for over a decade and on the field advisory board for Oracle FAB.
Mr. Batlapadu’s equally accomplished academic background includes a Master of Computer Applications in computer science from Osmania University in 1996 and a Master of Accounting and Financial Management from the Keller Graduate School of Management at DeVry University. He further enhanced his expertise by completing the general management program at Harvard Business School in 2022. His certifications include several Oracle specialist designations — including as an engineer specialist and in talent management and cloud implementation — that have been instrumental in his career progression.
Outside of his professional life, Mr. Batlapadu is actively involved in civic-minded organizations such as Food Giving. He is also an accomplished author with publications like “Machine Learning in Biomedical and Health Informatics” and “Machine Learning Principles, Techniques, and Tools,” reflecting his deep interest in machine learning and spreading knowledge throughout his field and the public.
In his personal life, Mr. Batlapadu is a proud father and enjoys spending quality time with his daughter and son. He is currently writing two new books and hopes to continue publishing two to three volumes annually. Looking to the future with determination, he plans to file more patents either in India or the United States and deepen his knowledge of artificial intelligence and machine learning. He is also working on an AI-based product for the financial sector with the intent to launch it soon.
