She also spent time as a regional vice president of sales and marketing at Aimbridge Hospitality from 2010 to 2013 and as a senior director of global sales at Wyndham Hotels & Resorts Inc. from 2008 to 2010.

Earlier in her career journey, Ms. Brooks held a variety of pivotal roles in hospitality. She served as the director of sales and marketing at the award winning, Hilton DFW Lakes from 2002 to 2007, and prior to that, she was managing director of sales at Hilton Direct between 1997 and 2002. Her experience also includes a tenure as a sales manager at Omni Hotels & Resorts from 1995 to 1997 and as a resident manager at The Driskill Hotel from 1991 until 1994. Prior positions in Ms. Brooks’ career path include a two-year post as an assistant general manager at The Hotel Jerome in 1989 and four years of experience as a management trainee at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts in 1985.

Ms. Brooks’ academic background provided her with a solid foundation in business principles and conflict resolution, skills that have been instrumental in her success as an entrepreneur and industry leader. She attended Dallas College North Lake Campus from 1984 – 1990 and a certification in mediation and dispute resolution from the Dedman School of Law at Southern Methodist University in 2010.

A distinguished leader in the hospitality industry and dedicated community advocate, Ms. Brooks brings a wealth of experience and commitment to her endeavors. She served as the president of the National Charity League Inc. from 2010 to 2013 and was active as the marketing committee chair for IACC meetings from 2002 to 2007. A longstanding member of HSMAI Global since 1995, Ms. Brooks has been instrumental in shaping industry standards. Her memberships in Meeting Professionals International, SHRM, ATD, CHART, and the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Foundation, among others, underscore her commitment to professional development.

Ms. Brooks has received numerous prestigious awards throughout her career, including the 2022 Dallas CEO Innovation Award, alongside other notable recognitions, such as the Women in Technology Award and the Hotel Sales and Marketing Innovate Top 25 Hospitality Award by HSMAI. Among Ms. Brooks’ past honors are the Hotel of the Year Award from Hilton Hotels & Resorts in 2007, the Women of Achievement Award from Zonta International in 2006, and the Adrian Award for Digital Marketing in 2003.

Outside of her career achievements, Ms. Brooks enjoys outdoor activities such as fly fishing and bird watching. She is also passionate about traveling and exploring new cultures. Looking ahead, she aims to leverage technology to expand educational opportunities globally for underserved populations and provide skill development for individuals transitioning from incarceration back into society. Through these efforts, Ms. Brooks hopes to foster meaningful change that transcends professional boundaries.
