Mr. Rajendran’s earlier career included significant roles at Amazon, where he served as senior product manager in various capacities from 2016 to 2020. His work there emphasized the importance of integrating technology with a people-centric approach. Before Amazon, he was the director of operational excellence for Thyssenkrupp Aerospace NA between 2014 and 2016 after holding several managerial positions within the company starting in 2011. Mr. Rajendran’s initial industry experience began at Bombardier Aerospace and ELGI Equipments Ltd.
Mr. Rajendran’s educational background includes a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from Bharathiar University in 2004 and a master’s degree in industrial engineering from Wichita State University in 2008. A dedicated practitioner of lean principles and Six Sigma methodologies, he holds a Six Sigma black belt certification from the American Society of Quality.
Beyond his primary professional endeavors, Mr. Rajendran has been active with industry-related organizations, having notably served as a past president of his local chapter of the American Society of Quality. Civically, he frequently gives back to United Way.
