CHATTANOOGA, TN, January 17, 2024 /24-7PressRelease/ — Jason Mark Ingram has been included in Marquis Who’s Who. For more than 15 years, Mr. Ingram has been employed by the Tennessee Department of Transportation (TDOT) in Chattanooga, a department responsible for planning, building, and maintaining the state-owned highway and interstate system, which includes major roadways, airports, waterways, and railroads. Joining the organization in 2007 as a transportation project specialist, he garnered progressive roles as supervisor I, senior, and supervisor II before being promoted to TDOT Manager of Region II Design in 2023. In his position, Mr. Ingram supervises multiple team leads and oversees multiple hydraulics engineers who work closely with the hydraulics department in Nashville, Tennessee. Additionally, he oversees a right-of-way engineer who mediates acquisitions and ensures that property owners are adequately informed and consulted during road widening projects.
Passionate about his field, Mr. Ingram enjoys taking on various projects and mentoring young engineers. Among many successful accomplishments, he recalls managing a sizeable legislative project where he also had to guide younger colleagues on smaller tasks. Mr. Ingram is also equally grateful to work for TDOT, which has developed numerous innovative methods for building new roadways, such as the multiple roundabouts, large urban developed interstates and highways, and has played a critical role in people’s daily lives. Drawing a sense of satisfaction in knowing that he is helping develop such essential infrastructure, he looks forward to engaging in additional projects that will shape the future of society.
In preparation for his career, Mr. Ingram earned a mechanical drafting diploma in architectural drafting and mechanical CAD/CADD from the Tennessee Technology Center at Morristown in 1996 and additional credentials in architectural v architectural CAD/CADD in 1997. He subsequently pursued an education at Walters State Community College, earning an Associate of Science in pre-engineering in 2002. Mr. Ingram then transferred to the University of Tennessee, where he received a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science in civil engineering in 2006 and 2017, respectively. Additionally, he holds designations through the Tennessee Department of Transportation Executive Leadership Academy (TELA) and the Tennessee Department of Transportation Empowering People Influencing Culture (EPIC) Academy. Mr. Ingram is a licensed professional engineer in Tennessee through the State Board of Architectural and Engineering Examiners.
